Product Description:

Artemisinin is an organic compound with a molecular formula of C15H22O5 and a molecular weight of 282.34. Artemisinin is a colorless acicular crystal with a melting point of 156-157 ℃. It is easily soluble in chloroform, acetone, ethyl acetate and benzene, soluble in ethanol and ether, slightly soluble in cold petroleum ether, and almost insoluble in water. Because of its special peroxy group, it is unstable to heat and susceptible to the effects of humidity, heat and reducing substances to decompose. Preparation method: A certain amount of dry powder of artemisinin branches and leaves was soaked in dilute ethanol for 24h to obtain ethanol extract solution, which was injected into a continuous extraction device and extracted with solvent gasoline containing benzene and ethyl acetate to obtain alcohol phase and extraction phase, which could be recycled. The extraction phase was decolorized by activated carbon, filtered, recovered solvent, and then concentrated solution was obtained, which was cooled and crystallized to obtain artemisinin coarse crystal. Artemisinin was obtained by recrystallization with ethanol. This method has the advantages of higher yield, lower cost, fewer steps, simple operation and safety.
